I'm gonna be at the clinic if anyone's looking for me...should only be a couple days.  [COUGH & CLICK]

Very late on the 19th...

[Even if Sokka's mad, he can't forget these people are still his friends. Figuring Jet will be asleep, the tribesman arrives at the clinic with some leftover soup. He slinks his way in, all ninja-like, glad for the almost-new moon.]

[Jet's eyebrow twitches as he stirs a little. Then his eyes snap open at the light sounds of someone approaching. To make sure he isn't hearing things he waits...a whole three seconds before whipping around and throwing his dagger and thank god he isn't up to par because-- ]

Sokka?

[angle_on_it]

[What the--!!]

Hnnngh... [There'll be some sounds of shuffling as Sokka removes that dagger from his foot, thankyouverymuch, Jet. And more shuffling as he turns around in a circle and hops on one foot.] Yes, that would be who you just threw a knife at. By the way, ow. Thanks a lot for that...

I didn't-- Spirits, Sokka, don't sneak up on me like that.

[He lays back, running a hand down his face because wow. That took way more energy than he expected. When he rolls on his side, he folds his arm under his head and tries to see Sokka's foot, the dark really skews his vision.]

Is it...gonna be alright?

[He won't mention how he expected Jet to be asleep. No, he'll just set the soup down and limp his way to the bedside with that dagger.] Yeah, don't worry about it -- should've been more careful.

[Sokka drops the dagger down on what serves as a nightstand and eyes Jet, despite the darkness.] Brought you some soup. It's still warm, if you want it now.

[fn_rebel]

... Yeah. [He eases himself to a sitting position, the blanket folding in his lap, and reaches for the bowl before pulling it over, nodding grateful.]

Sorry about that-- I'd fix it if I thought I could. [Read: state of mine = questionable.]

Haven't talked to them. Still a plague carrier, I see. Feeling any better?

Be better in a few days. [He gives a nod and starts eating because, holy spirits, real food.]

...how come you trust her, Sokka?

She saved my life. My dad's too.

Then why doesn't Katara?

[angle_on_it]

She wasn't there.

Zuko and I went to save my Dad. She helped us escape by betraying Azula. She saved Suki, too -- all of us. She didn't have to, either. And she went to prison for it.

So why can't she look past that? She's been preaching to me about Zuko and his redemption for months. This doesn't make sense.

[angle_on_it]

Why can't you? [A shrug.] It's not easy to forgive.

[fn_rebel]

Because it doesn't make sense to me that she's holding a grudge after fighting with me so much about holding mine.

Why does it matter?

Because something has to be wrong with her.
