There's no shortcut to a dream
Wha-wha-whaaaaaat? No, I'm probably not going to start posting regularly again, but Ashely directed me to an LJ community of interest and then I thought, "Huh, I haven't checked this in a year." Well, not literally a year. Apparently May 10, 2009 was the last time I used LJ. Not quite a year, but close, I suppose.
I'm still alive. Took the ServSafe exam last week, and I expect I passed it fairly easily. Five years of having a certificate that I have every intention of getting the absolute most out of on job applications. Also, I'm considering taking the plunge and going to the Culinary Institute up in Pasadena. I know there's one in LA, but I don't know if it's an offshoot school or a different group all together.
That's about as much real excitement as can be had from me these days. A year is a long time, and a lot happens in it, but in the end, I'm still alive and that's about all I can say for myself these days.
