NBD = No Bloody Data.

This seems to be the story of all the instruments I've been looking at in the last 6 months.

NBD should also stand for 'Neglect Brings Disaster'.

It's like taking a gun into battle with no ammo.

It's like an Alanis Morissette song complete with misuse of the word 'ironic'.

Basically there's a whole lot of shockingly expensive stuff that's supposed to have been archiving valuable data, but has really been lying around doing nothing :)

It's kind of like delegating someone to film a wedding or christening, and at the end of the day they tell you that they forgot to put tape in the videocamera.

Anyway, I am resigned to it and will work around the problem, because it's not a problem that will go away by this weekend or the next. :)
