Caving trip
I know I am due for a larger update what with all the things I have been up to lately, but that will have to wait...
In the meantime, as many of you may know, anndr0id had her birthday yesterday. Perhaps more importantly, there is a party at our favorite bar, the Independent, this Friday.
You may be wondering what if anything you should do as a nice gesture towards her on her birth anniversary.
I have two suggestions:
1. As you may know the Independent is a gaming oriented bar, and with that in mind I am donating an old Playstation to them, and I plan to put some label on it like "The Ann Droid commemrative playstation" or some such. The trouble is the only game I have to donate with it is Gran Turismo 2. If you have old playstation 1 games laying around, bring them and donate them! Especially good would be fighting games (Tekken!!!), sports games (Tony Hawk, hockey, anything), and puzzzle games (?). Things like RPGs are probably not as good as they would tend to involve more than one sitting, but if you have them bring them anyway :) Also extra memory cards would be kickass too.
2. The two of us have been wanting to go caving for a while now, and I am going to organize a crew of people to go do so. The plan is to go to Raccoon Mountain caverns on April 8th. We will be spending the night in the cave and taking one of the "wild cave" tours. I know some people on here have been to this cave through Troop 1011 before, and they can likely attest to how much fun it is. You will get REALLY dirty, and go through some crazy stuff, but it is a fucking blast. I strongly encourage people who are interested to come, as this might be a unique opportunity for some.
I have to make the reservations and put down a deposit at least 2 weeks in advance. This means that you will have to let me know by Friday if you want to come so I can reserve a spot for you. I don't actually need the $50 per person it will cost at that time though. I am really wanting to get at least 10 people to come as that gives us the best price, but we will go with any number.
She doesn't know about this (SO DON'T FUCKING TELL HER), and can't read this post, so feel free to reply here if you have questions or are definitely interested. If possible I would like to have a sense for how many people I can expect to attend before Friday, but if you are on the fence now you can let me know then.
