Business as usual
My birthday is fast approaching, and as per normal it is a busy time.
Finals are coming up, but I'm am prepared and already doing well in all my classes. After that is finished I am going to St. Simon's for a week or two to relax and do nothing.
My birthday is Sunday, and also of course Beltaine; definitely my favorite day of the year.
Apparently blindherviolet is having a party on Friday, but details are unclear, perhaps someone can fill me in. Are there plans to go see HHGTTG beforehand? Seems like the thing to do to me. Although I probably will go see Jarboe and Magicicada instead.
Saturday night I am having a party at my house. You are all invited, but most of you will not come.
Saturday during the day I am having a birthday gathering of sorts at the Ed's Gun and Tackle firing range in Marietta.
If you are interested in coming to this let me know ASAP as space may be limited. We will be going to the range and renting various guns from the store to fire, in addition to any weapons of our own we bring.
This activity of course in relation to the badass Glock 32 Anndr0id gave me as an early present.
How fucking hot is that? A GLOCK FOR MY BIRTHDAY FOR GOD'S SAKE!
I am not a huge gun person really; I wouldn't be that upset if firearms were outlawed completely. In fact that is probably a good idea all things considered. But as it stands they are not, and so I own several. I honestly don't have any illusions about needing self-defense or some such nonsense. I just think they are neat.
Plus you never know when nuclear war will break out and those of us who survive will have to defend ourselves in the wasteland againt roving gangs in a constant quest for "guzzoline," al la Mad-Max.
I can hope at least.
