*Ed didn't bother to hide his confusion over that, blinking for a moment before trying to form a response* A- ... well, I guess that's possible, here. *He muttered quietly, ducking his head down as if meeting her eye level would aid in the conversation*

I take it.. things didn't go well, with him? *He didn't add that she looked like his younger sister, certain that would only add to how complicated this place was.*

Yeah, I've heard that about a few people here, actually. *Edward answered with a chuckle. The fact that she wasn't looking at him didn't bother him in the least, as long as she wasn't yelling at him- he'd continue with the conversation*

People here are different, though.. People I'm used to being my age are- older, and personalities don't always add up. Besides... Getting stuck here is stressful, maybe you just bumped into him on a bad day?

*Ed, so far, hadn't gotten very many extreme reactions to his presence. Maybe a bit of confusion, but pretty much everyone he'd spoken to was already well aware of the duplicates and how... little two of the same person could be alike. So, generally he hadn't had any problems.

When she turned and stared at him, Edward straightened to his full height almost warily - as if waiting for the attack that was sure to follow. If she really was anything like Rosie, her temper was probably a nightmare to be on the receiving end of* ....... *The teen coughed weakly at her reaction, slipping both hands into his pockets and tryng to look casual, as the thought hit him.* I take it that jerk-.... probably looked a lot like me, huh?

*weary* Yes. Yes he did. Let me guess, your name's Edward too?

Yeah, uh- I was named after my grandfather. *He shrugged slightly, one hand fidgeting with something in the pocket of his paint spattered lab coat.* Edward Elric, actually.

You're not... Named Rosie, or anything like that... Are you?

*Elric...the other was not named Elric. Maybe he's different. Not gonna hold my breath though* No, although that's a new one. I'm Winry Hohenheim.

*He smiled almost uncertainly at her response. Neither 'Winry' nor 'Hohenheim' clicked in his memory, so Edward thought nothing of it.* Huh. You just... look an awful lot like my sister. Well, anyway, it's nice to meet you Winry.

This whole duplicate thing is .. pretty confusing. Even when two people seem exactly the same, they can be polar opposites.

I, uhh... Don't really think I'm an 'alter' of anyone here, though.
