*He blinks, coming to a complete standstill at the other's condition* I'm fine. *Edward didn't like the way she looked.. It reminded him of something that he couldn't quite put his finger on.* You should go home. I'll take you home and then look for her, okay? You shouldn't be out, like this. Please, go inside.

*The homunculus realized suddenly that those words were ones he'd heard before, but again he couldn't quite place it. Just that the memory only made him more anxious.* Come on, I'll look for you, okay?

*Alfons didn't like the idea of Edward running around by himself...but he could handle himself physically more than she could, and she was about ready to fall over as it was.*

*Alfons coughs a few times, hard, before regaining her breath,*

*Edward realized quite suddenly what her coughing was reminding him of and stiffened a bit. He moved towards her, wrapping an arm around her to support her weight before insisting once more.* I'm fine. *The homunculus was prone to short, firm answers like that - it was all Ed had really said during his illness, and he remembered it when people asked how he was- as harsh as it may sound, he did it for the same reason.. It left no room for argument.* We need to get you home. *He didn't like the coughing, not at all, and he was fairly certain that she had other people who cared about her that would be just as distressed to see her out here like this when she clearly wasn't well*

*He blinked, making sure to keep a safe enough distance from the Ed when he spoke. The homunculus looked from Alfons to the boy again, before shrugging.* I'm worried about her.

*Alfons was trying to say something, but the coughing came first, hard and wet up her throat as she leaned against Edward for support. ...One of them. She wasn't sure which one she leaned against...*

*More coughing, harder this time.*

F-Fine if I rest. I'm s-sorry. Please don't worry about--

*And cue more coughing.*

*glances down at her and catches hold of her elbow to support her, torn between faint alarm and utter exhasperation*
