I've met a few Winrys that make it. It's pretty intriguing, really. Articulated prosthetic limbs that can actually read the electronic signals your nerves operate on and work like an actual limb would. One of the few things around here that actually sounds like science to me and not some weird magical... thing.
No, the medical technology in my world definitely isn't at that level yet. If somebody looses a limb, the doctors in my world are more concerned with preventing gangrene than replacing it...
That doesn't sound good. Where I'm from, the medical technology depends on where you live, but I've never lost a limb to have to worry about it I guess.
It's... the country is nice, but it's pretty violent in the city... There's a lot of... organized crime and such. Al says that most of the police are taking money under the table from somebody... I don't know if he was exaggerating. It just seems like, especially with this automail jazz, most of the people around here come from worlds that have put so much effort and technology into medical things and all the technology where I come from is for killing...
