All right. What am I doing here? [Have a canon Riza Hawkeye, who is now lost and wondering how she got here, when the last thing she remembers was traveling on a train to Central.]
[Knows how to work a room. He's called every female he's met here pretty. Is disappointed with the ones who don't adore him instantly for it.]
Yeah! I never saw ladies wearing pants and things before I came here, but you're pretty enough that I can tell you're a lady right away even though you're not wearing a dress.
[Tilts his head and considers the question.]
I don't think so... I haven't met that many people here yet though. I mostly just know Ed and Winry and Greed and old-me because I stay at the Devil's Nest with Ed, but him and Winry were fighting really loud and it was hurting my ears so I decided to go exploring.
You know a different me? Neat! There's an older me who works at the Devil's Nest but I don't think I want to be like him when I grow up because he's rude.
[Very impressed.]
Ladies can be first lieutenants where you live? Wow! You must be really strong! I think the only ladies that work at the military at home are secretaries. And people complain about them because they said that ladies should be getting married instead, but Mama Christmas taught me that if a lady wants to work and have her own money then that's even better because she's being fis-fiscally responsible!
People call the one I know rude as well, but actually he is the type to respond sarcastically more than anything else. I wouldn't let it bother you.
[She smiles again, already starting to like this younger version of Mustang, against her original expectations.]
Yes, there are female officers where I live. And I suppose that what people call strength depends on who you talk to. Personally, I wouldn't be satisfied with being a secretary; desk work isn't something I'm interested in. Aside from being a first lieutenant, I was a sniper in the military, and now I'm the bodyguard for the Colonel.
He's not as rude as Ed... Except when he's talking *to* Ed, then he's kinda mean.
Wow. A sniper. There's definitely not any lady snipers at home... Bodyguard for the Colonel-- hey! Is that me? Ed says I'm gonna be a colonel! But I guess there's probably a lot of colonels and stuff...
Mama Christmas takes care of me, or, well, before I came here anyway. But she and the girls take care of me because my mother went to heaven when I was born.
I live at Christmas House, and that's in Central at home, but Ed and I looked and it isn't here.
I think it'll be really neat to be a colonel! Mama Christmas and the girls will be real proud of me! And-and I want to be an alchemist and Ed says I'm gonna be a really good one!
[Looks a little worried/sad.]
Did you have someone nice to take care of you at least?
Christmas House... That name makes it sound like a nice place.
It's good that you have dreams for the future... If you're anything like the Colonel Mustang I know, you'll reach those goals and probably even go beyond them.
[She gives him a reassuring glance.]
I can't say that I did, but everything worked out in the end.
It is nice! I have twelve big sisters and they're all really nice to me! And Mama Christmas takes care of all of us and it's great!
[Looks thoughtful.]
Mama Christmas says if you reach a goal you need to get another one quick so that you always have a goal. So if I become a colonel... what comes after colonel? ... I should probably start learning this stuff...
[She smiles at him, and looks as though she almost wants to ruffle his hair, but she doesn't, because she thinks that will just annoy him.]
That's good that you've found a family here.
And I agree with what she says. Always having a goal gives you something to work for. And in your case, once you've become a colonel, the next rank is brigadier general.
If you have more questions about this, you can just ask me, if that's what you want.
Hello!
[Angelic smile.]
You're pretty!

Is that so?
[Pauses for a minute or two.]
Have we met before?

[Offers little hand and bright smile to her.]
I'm Roy Mustang. Pleased to meet you.

Well, I suppose I should thank you for the compliment.
[She blinks a few more times as he answers her question.]
You know Edward and Winry? I see...
[She takes his hand and shakes it, but is obviously surprised when she learns his name.]
Roy Mustang? [A brief pause.] Well, you're different than the one that I know.. All the same, it's nice to meet you. I'm 1st Lieutenant Riza Hawkeye.

Who is Mama Christmas?

Where do you call home? And yes, that would be you. But is becoming a colonel what you want?
[Her expression turns thoughtful.]
I'm glad there is someone to look after you. Both of my parents are gone as well.
