[lalala he's in the uniform, but clearly he's not supposed to be, since the jacket is open and he's kneeling on a chair hovering over a cafe table like a small child. (Mysteriously enough, the waitresses at said cafe aren't kicking him out.) And he's stacking quite the assortment of chocolates into four distinct piles: dark, milk, white, and Those ( Read more... )

Oh? No no no. Organisation. Edward has already finished his paperwork and had decided to take a small...nap.

-=quirks a brow=- Edward? Why are you speaking in third.. Nevermind.

How does one take a nap with paperwork and... chocolate?

Mmmmn, yes, yes, poor boy. Someone tried to do him in again. Coffee.

He is napping. [looks straight at him, and smiles brightly as he taps his temple] Right here, dearheart. Paperwork...has nothing to do with it, honestly, how can you military types stand that...[mutters at his chocolate piles]

welcome in the boredom! thesoulbound August 8 2008, 15:29:06 UTC
Multiple personality disorder? -=that's a new one.=- You're alright though...so that's good.

I... never worked in the Military offices as a soldier. So what's the paperwork and chocolates for?

...are you a psychiatrist? That's what they always said, Alphonse, sweetie. I assume that you are an Alphonse, yes?

...the paperwork is...hmmm. Random dispatch of soldiers to Drachma, nothing huge. And the cho-co-lates~ Wouldn't you like to know, hmmm?

Well.. no.. -=flushes=- I haven't met an Edward with it, yet. And yes, I'm an Al... -=feels weird saying that.=-

I have to admit I am a little curious, considering there's nothing else active around here.... -=snap, did he just say he was bored? With a LIBRARY somewhere? Yes. Yes he did.=-

You are so very perceptive. Just like an Alphonse should be, how mine should have been.

[beckons to him]

Ah. The joys of youth. Easily bored. Come here, sweetheart, if you have nothing else to do.

Ah.. Thank you.. -=moves to sit.=- Your Al passed on... My condolences.

I'm not that young. I'm seventeen.

Eh, condolences do nothing for the dead nor for the living, pretty. Seventeen and still quite so naive. A murderer just offered you a seat and you take it?

[passes him a square of milk chocolate with an expression that clearly says 'get rid of it please, thank you'.]

-=doesn't say anything about the murderer part and still sits=- We're all still in the same boat: stuck in this false Central. I'm sure that gives both sinners and saints some common ground to be civil to each other?

-=looks at the chocolate, and then at Pride/Ed=- Seems you've acquired some of Ed's traits. -=has yet to decide to accept or not.=-

Wise for your years. And are you implying that you are a saint, Alphonse Elric? [smiles at him]

...what. [glares hatefully at the chocolate, and waves it in front of his face] It is not poisoned. Well, at least, I think it is. Some idiot sent in a basket of these for no apparent reason.

thesoulbound August 8 2008, 15:58:38 UTC
Far from it, actually.. I was making a generalization.

-=still eyes the chocolate and decides on making a small gesture of trust by taking it and holding it in his fingers as he smirks a little at Pride's reaction=- It is customary to have a wide assortment in order to appease a varied palate, after all.. He... well... mine prefers dark, bitter chocolate. Did someone send them to you perhaps?

Mmmmn, however could I have missed that? Generalizations are dangerous things, sweetheart.

[blinks, almost surprised] ...I think that one's safe to eat.

I suppose no Edward would actually like milk chocolate. Ah, maybe, maybe not. For one thing, does Edward look like a chocolate person to you? And why would there be milk chocolate if they were sent to me?

thesoulbound August 8 2008, 16:12:11 UTC
-=pouts slightly=- So is small talk, I guess.

Just holding it. Never said I was going to actually eat it. -=smirks=-

Where I'm from, there isn't a lot of chocolate to be had, so it's not common to see this much around. Perhaps it's a secret admirer who doesn't know you well? And you said before you wouldn't harm any Alphonse here, so it's obvious you weren't the one who had the chocolates sent. If you did, and knew you had added things, you wouldn't have given me this piece, would you?

[grins at him]

The chocolate would melt. And leave an ugly puddle of brown on the table and on your gloves...

[sighs, and goes back to stacking chocolates]

You could try out for Intelligence, pretty. I have no idea where it is from. Secret admirers are for girls. And frankly, even if I wanted to, I highly doubt I can consciously hurt an Alphonse.
