I like the description in the second paragraph the best, especially the mention of invisible crow and brow of a queen. I want to hug Roy now. :< Great work!
While I will never ever be as good as, say zauberer_sirin or kittu9 at writing Roy's devotion to Riza, I still wanted to take a crack at it. Thanks a lot for the comment. *hugs*
I too can't write Roy's devotion to Riza well (though that's probably more or less because I tend to write Roy/Riza fluff, especially in a politically/military theme story like Chasing the Desert, lol). I think for this story you did that aspect very nicely, though. :)
Oh, Roy! I can see his taboo for expressing his love for Riza causing his emotions to build up to critical mass and erupt out of him in poetic torrents. It's wonderful how the words "sound" so beautiful, but the frustration underneath is so evident.
Wow, I couldnt have put that sentence better myself. And thanks for noticing not just the tone but also the undertone of this piece. ♡ It always pleasantly surprises me that I manage to get a point across in so few words. *le proud*
Happy belated thanksgiving, hope you had a good one. How's your dad doing these days? :-)
