This is a Blind Challenge. Please read the details below!
All who wish to enter the week's prompt should compose their entries as usual, including lj-cut html (if you know how to type that out, or else your wonderful mods will do it), and email it to fmaficcontest@gmail.com. Your mods will then post all entries under our usernames, with no author names listed. Note: Any entries that the author posts directly to the comm cannot be counted for the contest/vote! This is the blind part of the blind round--all entries are to be emailed to fmaficcontest@gmail.com and the
mods will post them!
The vote post will have no author names listed either. Voting runs the same as usual and everyone still picks their top three, or more depending on number of entries. (20 or more entries get five places, see vote post for how many actual places to vote for).
This time, for this round, there will also be Guessing post!
All the names of the contestants for the week will be posted, and anyone who wishes may comment to the guessing post with a list of which authors they think go with which stories! (Quick tip: You may use the Tags bar and read anything the individual has previously written for our comm to help you guess!) The person who guesses the most correctly gets a special Best Guessers Banner and announced at the same time as the vote winners!
Please remember to comment on the entries! We encourage everyone to comment on all fics as usual. (And it can be a nice/tricky idea for the contest for each author to comment on his/her own fic, to throw others off the scent of who wrote what. Heehehee!)
If people want to try writing a new character/pairing or style to throw off guessers, s/he may, but the guessing may be more fun if people just write the best fic they can for the prompt without trying intentionally to be tricky.
