Author’s Note - written for the fma_fic_contest, prompt ‘giving orders.’ There was no dallying around with what to write. Roy perked up the moment the prompt went up. Granted he thought this was the 251-500 word limit prompt and sulked for hours when he learned it had to be cut. Thanks to evil_little_dog for the looksee

While he would never admit it, Roy loved listening to Riza giving his orders to his men in the anteroom beyond his office. She sounded so stern, it sent shivers up his spine. The way she nipped short their groans and protests added to the joy. Roy could imagine handing over his power to her, letting her rule him. If he let his mind wander, each order posed the distinct danger of sending him shuffling awkwardly to lock his door and pull the curtains until he either did something indecent in his office or got his body under control.
His and Riza’s walks in the park with Hayate were like eating illicit sweets after being forbidden to. There were times he envied the dog all the ways she controlled him. Roy knew that probably said a lot about him as a man but he didn’t really care. There was something about a powerful woman that he ate up.
He was good at hiding his interest most of the time. Roy needed to be. His men would snicker behind his back or, more likely, to his face. Sometimes he failed, like that training mission in Briggs. Hell, Olivia Armstrong could have ruled him and to his heartache, he knew Riza had seen right through him. That she forgave him and his nature at all shocked him.
Of course, Riza knew any order from her would be happily obeyed by him. A strange arrangement, perhaps, but Roy loved it.
