Yay!

This prompt was right up my alley, challenging with a lot of creative freedom, plus something that I've not really draw before. And while I may be more of a Roy/Ed girl, I do enjoy drawing all kinds of pairings for people. I think this may be my first complete Ed/Win pic. XD

I thought it would be fun to have Ed's sorcery include alchemy in it, hence the circle and while I debated between first anime gate baby hands or manga Wrath as the foe, I went with the more 'supernatural' evil and in general I feel more comfortable and well versed in the first anime. I was worried I wouldn't do Wrath justice, and I have seen some awesome art of him to live up to. I also felt the inclusion of these things would be a nice throw back to the fma franchise and I always feel that makes any AU more believable.

That background, it took so long to paint, and I ended up cheating and making a texture to do the gravel that they are standing on. That folks, is a close up of my driveway. XD It definitely took me longer to paint the background than it did to do Ed and Winry, but I think it turned out totally awesome and worth it.

I can also safely say that this pic was made possible by photoshop. Without it, the circle would not have turned out nearly as cool as it did.

I have been wanting to write a story based on the very prompt I gave you for some time, now, perhaps, I'll do something with it. :D

Hey, close up of your driveway works. :D I sometimes make textures out of photos I take (I'm currently taking very close up pictures of my daylilies for just such playing around), so, yeah, using what's close at hand works!
