Hi there, all. ^_^ Sorry if this is a tad off-topic, but it'd probably be best to ask here.

Does anyone have a picture of Arakawa-sensei? Not the cow she draws, but an actual picture of her? I've been searching for one all day, but I still don't have any luck in finding one. So, do any of you have one to share?

Ah, I suppose it's better than nothing anyhow. ^^ And for some reason, she sort of reminds me of my old french teacher there. o_O

I think most manga-kas don't really want to be seen. You hardly ever see pictures of them. I think the only one I actually found was one of Tite Kubo in some Bleach guidebook. That was weird.

Why is it weird? It's a good thing that he shows himself, even the anime related people talk about him lots due to his influence on the anime(hence why he was seen with Morita, Ichigo's VA).

Speaking of which, Sorachi who does Gintama is openly "publicity shy". He draws omake of himself as this ape looking character and he... says things that may get him fired so I think it's pretty reasonable that he doesn't want to show his face XD

I just thought it was odd at the time 'cause you usually don't see manga-ka~. I'm not saying it's a bad thing. :3 I was actually kind of excited to see what he looked like.

Heheh well before that pic, the last pic I've seen him in he had short, orange, hair XD and was thinner.

I've never seen an actual picture of her either. o.o Huh. [crack] But I've got a theory as to why she doesn't want to be seen...it's because Arakawa IS cow! There might be some controversy if people figured out there was a super-intelligent cow out there drawing manga....and getting paid for it. [/crack]

Some mangakas like to be seen...and some don't :D

For example, I believe there is one, and only one, picture of CLAMP. And it's recent...
But in other hand, Rumiko Takahashi...it's easy to find pictures of her (although her pictures look scary for me xD)

Maybe Arakawa-sensei doesn't want to be seen...because she looks like a cow xD

There's a pic or two of CLAMP on wikipedia... not sure if it's THEM or not though...
