so, i think i'm part of the super junior fandom again.
well, i started listening to k-pop again since i stopped listening to rain on 2006 because of sj anyway. i remember it was like, the day (may 9th, 2008) before my 15th birthday (may 10th, 2008)? we were at the ktv and my friend picked sj's u. it was pretty good, and i liked it, but this one line got me going.
그 주인이 니가 되게 해줄테니?
that's donghae's part. i have no idea why, but i fell in love with that line. dude, i swear, their singing's much better than a lot of singers in hong kong, and quite a few in taiwan too, even though not everyone in sj's specialty is singing.
thanks to sj, especially donghae's part, i started knowing a lot more about k-pop and the way it works (inkigayo, music bank, music core, etc.) and started taking the language properly. not that rain didn't make me want to learn korean, it's just that i really got into perfecting the language this time.
after a while, i kinda ditched sj for dbsk/shinee/bigbang and others. i guess their comeback reminded me of how they attracted me with their professionalism and teamwork. and of course, i'm glad hangeng's korean has improved a lot.
may 9th is coming up, and on that day there's hollywood bowl here in LA. i won't be able to go, but i'll be at home watching sj videos all day to celebrate and remember the past year i've spent listening to k-pop and obsessing over the hotness of korean singers.
