I had a night of very interesting things.....
So lets run through the day.I'm leaving work. It's pay day, I'm freaking excited about depositing some money because my funds are running low.
Grab all my stuff up and head out the door with my dear friend Nicky. We both have appointments with a holistic doctor. Nicky had been once before and told me I had to try it out because it's incredibly relaxing and you get a bunch of healing done in the process. I'm totally into that kind of stuff so I was on board.
So we drove to my bank, I deposit my money. We drive to her bank, and deposit her money. We had ordered take-out from the greatest canadian place ever, Swiss Chalet, so we headed there to pick up food.
THEN! dunn dunn dunnnnn.
I ask where my cell phone is.... normally I put it in the same spot in my car while I'm driving....and it isn't there. We try calling it from Nicky's phone a few times. We hear no ringing or vibrating coming from inside my car. Panic sets in. I have no idea where it could be. I know I let the office with it, and that's it....
Nicky does a full search down of my car while I grab the swiss chalet pick up. Still no phone. We are running low on time to make it to our appointment, but we swing by office and I take a look around. Still no phone. At this point I'm incredibly nervous, because I don't know anyone's numbers, I've never misplaced my phone like this before, and I'm thinking that I dropped it on the road somewhere. Fuuuuuuuuck.
So we give up temporarily. Go to our appointment.
Nicky had her appointment first. Right after she got out, my cell phone called her!!!!!! Apparently someone had found it and dropped it off at a store near the office and I could come pick it up. The store was closing in 10 mins, and I was just about to go into my appointment....but lucikly one of our other friends, Jagoda, showed up to hang out, and she had a car. So her and Nicky raced to get my phone.
The appointment was AMAZING. The girl was incredible. I even worked up the courage to let her do 4 acupuncture needles on me. Which I'm really glad I let her do. It was kinda neat. Anyways. She told me I'm very healthy, she said I have amazing body energy and should watch for people that have low energy and always want to be around me because they'll drain mine. They're called Energy Vampires! haha. She also told me I should look into Reiki. Which I was already wanting to do.
So that was done. Jagoda had come back and told me they were all at a restaurant, so we leave together..I park just around the corner of the restaurant and start walking down the street with Jagoda, and then I hear someone calling my name. Stop, look back, there's an unmarked cop car calling out my name. I'm thinking....I don't know anyone that works for the cops... he pulls up and tells me my LICENSE is expired. I'm really confused. He grabs my license and points out it expired on my birthday... I had NO clue! I've been driving on an expired license for half the month! WHAT THE FUCK!
He told me it's like a 130 dollar fine for that, but he gave me a break because I told him I never got anything in the mail from the DMV so I had know idea. It all worked out too because my license still had my old address, but my address was updated on the information he had pulled up on me. So he let me go, but told me I shouldn't drive my car home.
So I'm freaked out, sitting at dinner, I'm not even CLOSE to home. It's a 20 min drive. I'm not leaving my car on this street because it's not a great area of town.
Fuck it. I drove home with Nicky because she lives by me, and I picked up my boyfriend, Brian, along the way. I was a such a nervous wreck the whole ride. I thought every black car was an unmarked cop. But I made it home fine.
In the morning, Brian drove me over to the DMV. haha He's american so he like almost passed out when he went through the canadian DMV experience. All you americans are going to love this to.
I walked in, walked right up to the teller, paid, had my photo taken, was issued a temp license, and was done the entire process in less than 5 mins. hahah We were the only people in the DMV until we were leaving. Then two couples walked in. That was it hahaha.
He even got to ask all the questions he wanted about switching over his license. I've never seen someone so awestruck over being at the DMV haha.
So yeah. Sorry this is long, but it was a crazy evening.
