It is the summer solstice--the longest day of the year.
It was grey and misty and chilly all day.
I shake my head and smile a little. It looked almost like a British town, except the streets were too wide.
Somehow, it was all singularly appropriate. More so that it was Father's Day.
And I watched the sun rise.
Somewhere on this globe today there was an endless night--and an endless day to balance it, the sun ghosting along the northern horizon, dawn to dawn unbroken by night.
Happy birthday, bright-star.
