SUCKED.
the 4 hr drive from tallahassee to tampa international was fine. the 3 hr wait until my flight could take-off was alright. the hour wait for the bus (aka: connecticut limo) to come was bearable. but lordy be, the bus ride experience was one i wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy.
my middle-aged portugese driver and his 70 mph minimum in residential communities and small winding roads was incredulous. although he was a "local", he had no idea how to get anywhere and refused to take the highways, insisting that HIS way was better. the first stop was on yale's campus, which now is shut-down due to filming for the new indian jones movie. the campus is entirely surrounded by the worst ghetto ive ever had the privelege of getting lost in. and what's better, our driver stops in the middle of it to pick up some of his buddies to take on the ride. i don't know if my sweaty palms would do much to help activate the pepper spray i had clutched inside, but it helped me feel a tad more at ease. i mentioned how my driver's.. well, driving.. was bad, not too long after when my car sickness was at an all-time high, i slapped the driver on the arm and demanded he slow down. needless to say, he partronized me for a good mile by going 15 mph until he resumed speeding. i cannot even tell you how petrified i was during this whole ride and how my nerves were completely shot to begin with from the full day of travelling. his constant cell-phone chatting (connecticut doesn't allow drivers to talk on their cell phones) and texting were just the cherry on a delightful ride. i feel i don't need to add that i was the LAST person to be dropped off, and therefore had to sit alone with these goons and pray to god that they were taking me to my stop and not some abandoned building. my ride from bradley airport to danbury was 3 hrs long. the airport is only one hour way. good job dude.
best 50 bucks ive ever spent...
but it's FINALLY vacation time :) now can everyone i love from tallahassee please get here now?
