It's been 11 months since I last Live Journaled
I got tagged back in by a post from @raidingparty so I scrambled around trying to remember my password and got all interested.
I am fed up with drama on Facebook, tired of the Russian Trump trolls on Twitter trying to sell mugs for Liberal Tears, and Reddit is slammed with Mens Rights Activists and denizens from r/The_Donald, so I don't feel really good there. I'm actually liking Twitter more than the other two these days.
I am trying to support real journalists because they piss off Donald Trump. I'm also trying to read more straight news--we have a subscription to the New York Times now, and that feels like I am not as likely to read whatever crap somebody links to on Facebook. I'd really like to subscribe to the Washington Post as well. I am not interested in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution though. That rag is worthless.
I wouldn't mind getting Vanity Fair too, as Trump wants to shut that down. Not into fashion, but the articles would be worth it.
Trump's disparaging of dedicated journalism is helping the newspaper and magazine industry more than anything.
I sort of thought after the election that I would be more accepting of the PEOTUS, but if anything I am getting more and more angry and upset. I find I am on edge and easily angered these days. It's going to be a long four years. I hope we all survive. I hope DACA kids, like my new son-in-law, do not get deported. I hope we do not go to war.
