Grrr

I had a wreck yesterday on the Connector, where I-75 & I-85 cross, heading north. I took Maia to Georgia State University, and very quickly, I have to cross four lanes of traffic so that I get into I-85 to head home. I had passed into the second lane and was heading into the third lane because I saw an opening and was aiming for it, when at that very same moment the car in front of me slowed down because the car in front of her slowed down, and BLAMMO!

Her car may very well be totaled and at the scene she said she wasn't hurt, but was shaken up--however, from speaking to the insurance agent, she now says she is hurt. (I've been rear-ended on the interstate before as well, and was MIGHTY sore the next few days, so she's probably right). Mine has a little less than $900 worth of damage on it. I'm not hurt, not even bruised, but I sure keep playing the scene over and over in my mind, wondering what I should have done different. The Trooper who handled the case told me in situations like that, there is nothing you can do, and he didn't give me a ticket. I would have given myself a ticket though.

The woman I hit was crying so I held her hand. I wish I could make everything better for her. She is a nurse and told the Trooper that she had had a terrible day, several deaths of her patients at the hospital.
