Moving day soon
So I'm moving back to Louisville this Friday. My mom, who's been battling cancer (and I hate to leave while she's recovering) was really sad about it. She cried, "I'll miss you Lenny".
It's hard for me to talk emotionally to my parents...dunno why. Maybe has something to do with my birthday.
I think she finally realized that "Empty Nest" syndrome was about to hit home. She's so used for someone else to be home, even if they're not around physically. She says she understands that I need to move on with something, but I'm not sure deep down she really does.
I just hope she doesn't have a breakdown or anything when I'm gone. I mean, I'm not gonna be THAT far away (just an hour drive). I just hope the recovery meds don't mess with her more mentally than she's gone through already.
I won't be having internet access readily available for a while because I need to get everything settled down first. Friday, I'm moving and going out. Saturday is the Code prerelease and there is a booster draft afterwards (thus I'm playing cards all day). Sunday I'll take time to setup my apartment.
Right now, I have no bed. I'm only bringing minimal furniture because I'm not sure if I'll be at this apartment next year.
I still have to pack my clothes though. I have a closet full of clothes I need to bring and my dresser is still packed with stuff. I already have my entertainment stuff (besides my rig, TV, and DVD player) packed up. Also have my kitchen stuff packed up too. Just need to get my clothes, the last of my entertainment stuff, my L5R cards, and my financial stuff with me and I'll be ready to go Friday.
I hope my car will be good until I get a new one. I'm looking at a 2006 Scion tC. If I can trade my Saturn in for at least $5000, I'll be set.
