I love stories that deal with infidelity though there aren't many, and this one was just gorgeous. I have to admit though (gulp) that my sympathy was very much with Arthur all the way through. (Sorry.:( ) Its just that... given he never knew Merlin was kissing, obsessing over and very close to cheating on him with Gwaine before they parted; considering Merlin hands down chose being a model (and Gwaine's world) over Arthur, and given that he would probably still have been with Gwaine if Gwaine had decided he was The One, I kind of felt Merlin should have been doing as much apologising and grovelling as Arthur at the end. Because to my mind he DID leave him for Gwaine I thought - what Gwaine represented at least. The way he hid the cheating from Arthur too ... making Arthur feel totally guilty as if he was the one who made all the mistakes...
I really loved it though - it made me rant and rave and stay up far to late to finish it. I loved the very happy ending with the chickens in knitwear. And the art is absolutely gorgeous! Thanks a million for a great, thought-provoking read.
