[Gyatso sounds incredibly confused by this. His voice is still gentle, though, despite his confusion.]

Aang... We have been here in Discedo together for quite some time. Certainly you have not forgotten?

Yes, we did.

[But it seems like Aang does not remember. Gyatso has heard of that happening from time to time in this place, and memories are only memories. If Aang does not remember, then they will simply have to make new ones!]

But it is all right if you do not remember. People sometimes appear in this city without any memory of having been here before. ... but we are both here now, and we can make more memories.

[He doesn't want to upset Aang anymore than he already is. It's obvious that seeing Gyatso has shaken him. Gyatso does not want to make it worse.

So he reaches over to gently touch Aang's head in the same way he always did in Aang's distant past.]

I missed talking to you. So much has happened since we last talked! There were so many times I was so confused and frustrated and there wasn't anyone like you that I could talk to!

[Ah, Gyatso was waiting for that hug! So when Aang goes towards him, he merely opens his arms and returns the hug. A bit more affection than usual, yes, but this is an unusual situation!]

Then you will simply have to tell me everything.

Well, that night when I went out, there was this huge storm and ---[ have Aang launch into story format about eveeeerything so far up to around ep 3x13 or something xD ]---

But you know, the strangest thing that's happened to me so far? I met my doppelganger earlier today! He even looked, spoke and acted just like me! It was pretty creepy.

[Gyatso gets that a lot.

He listens to Aang quietly, not interrupting his story. Aang has been through so much, but he has also grown so much. Gyatso's pupil is no longer the child that Gyatso took care of, but a young man. He is so very, very proud, and it shows on his face.

What also shows on his face is his confusion at the mentioning of a second Aang. He shakes his head gently in answer to Aang's question.]

No, you do not have a twin brother. But there is another person just like you? And really, Aang--I have told you many times that you may simply call me Gyatso. I am your guardian, after all.

Yup! Another one exactly just like me, we even had a very nice conversation about Ka-- cabbages, even though it was somewhat awkward and weird. Maybe he really was my doppelganger!
