Caucus Thoughts

So I caucused for Obama this evening. While I appreciate being part of the Democratic Process, I must say it took about 45 minutes too long. One thing our ‘Democrats’ room could have used was 3 or 4 pushy Republicans to push all the mosey-Joes through the lines faster. I stood behind a guy who just stood there letting about 6 people by until I asked him, “Are you going to get in the line?” and looks at me and says, “I was thinkin’ about it.”
Wow. I mean, really, you were thinking about it? Like, did you smoke your breakfast or something this morning?
He was shorter then me by about 8 inches, so I just scooted up behind him and started breathing down his neck to make him move his hippy-ass just a little bit faster. The Man Upstairs must have taken pity, or simply wanted to avoid a scuffle, b/c just then another line opened up and I jumped into it faster than you could say ‘sissy fist fight’.

So anyway, speaking of assholes, I have decided I think I really want to go to law school and be a lawyer. I just need to pay off the last degree I got before I go finance another one. In my old age, I am getting pretty introspetive and I realize I like to A) Tell people what to do, B) Be right, and most importantly C) Point out how and why other people are wrong. Plus I can be pretty charming and I’m a great public speaker.

This is my new goal, I guess. I’m about to be 35 so I will spend the next three years whittling down my debt so I can enter law school by the time I am 38 and be ready to graduate with a law degree while I am still 40. I mean, c’mon, I come from a family of Collegiate Late Bloomers, so I have two really great, and super-smart, role models to follow.
