Notifications not working

Is it just me, or have people not been receiving e-mail notifications from lj when they get comments? Kind of a stupid thing to care about, but I'm petty, damn it.

Edit: Just as I posted this, I started receiving comments from two days ago.

Yeah. And I'm getting constant notifications that my friends are receiving virtual gifts, despite my having disabled that notification a while ago. Which is all the more annoying because I'm anxiously watching for a couple of semi-important emails.
