These are 21 things that I want in a lover
Not necessarily needs but qualities that I prefer
I figure I can describe it since I have a choice in the matter
These are 21 things I choose to choose in a lover
1. no matter how much i want to lose weight, realistically if my weights going to change its going to go up. love me even if im chubby.
2. the last 2 guys broke up with me because i was more of a friend than a girlfriend. i find that not to be breakup-worthy. what's better than having your best friend be your partner too? being a friend must be a good thing.
3. cynical and sarcastic is not the same as being an asshole. because like like a cynical sense of humor, you have to know not to cross that line.
4. i will never be one of the high maintenance girls who needs to be showered with presents. unexpected presents are nice and appreciated, but i'm not in a relationship for things. being able to hang out with you should be present enough.
5. i love children and helping people. i am going to be a teacher. you have to at least be able to stand kids. and be ok with the fact that i will be poor.
6. must be good in bed and must like sex just as much as me.
7. i want a tattoo. he has to be cool with that. extra points if he has one also. additional extra points for piercings.
8. must be goal oriented. i want a guy with a plan for his future that he is actively working on. be in college or have an internship or something. (like #5, you have to appreciate education).
9. has to be at least my height. and not too skinny. i dont want to feel like i could break him if i sat on him.
10. its not that i need someone with a mental disorder, but i need someone who understands them enough to be able to calm me down when i get insecure. it will happen eventually. and it cant scare them away.
11. they have to be able to learn (or know already) that the best thing to do when i am upset is to hug me and say "everything will be ok".
12. passionate about music. punk. rock. alternative. emo. you can listen to anything else in addition as long as you like at least one of those.
13. based on my history and being from the bay area, i am very liberal. politically you have to have similar views as me. at least when it comes to gay marriage and abortions.
14. has to love just chilling with me on the couch and watching a movie. but needs to be able to take me out and do something outside of our apartments as well.
15. not too clingy but not detached. i dont want to be manhandled and claustrophobic. i like cuddling but i need space too. give me my freedom, but talk to me (if not hang out with me) nearly every day.
16. dont date me if you think that you might cheat on me. you either want me or you dont. i wont share my boyfriend with another girl. cheating is disrespectful.
17. my parents have to like you. not that my parents have hated anyone i have dated, but my parents have to think youre good for me.
18. he will hold my hand randomly. whether its the walk from the car to the movie theater or while we sit around. i like my hand held.
19. he wants me to sleep over. not every night or anything, but likes me being there when he wakes up.
20. he has to enjoy a good time, but not be downtown every night. everything in moderation.
21. it would be nice to date someone older than me once in my life.
I'm in no hurry I could wait forever
