They're gone!!

I finally just took the 4 chairs from my kitchen table outside... I took them out early yesterday because it was going to be dry and, experience has shown that it's good to put stuff like that out early 'cause this morning, before the trash truck showed up, they were GONE!! I wonder if that's what was going on when I heard lots of voices outside ( Read more... )

In my experience, these are the best sandals I have ever worn. I discovered them last summer, I wore them all day walking around New Orleans, with no break in period. I wear them all the time and have no trouble with my feet(I have plantar fasciitis as well as Plantar growths and a problem with capsulitis in my toe joints) These are more comfortable than my sneakers. Sadly they are pricey, but in the fall after the season ends, footsmart sends out coupons and marks things down, I bought one pair in the spring and bought three more pairs in the fall for 60% off.
I would buy more if they came in more colors.

Those are nice, but I've found much less expensive versions that meet the same spec @ KMart or Target. It takes a lot more comparative shopping skill but I'm not paying $80 for anything if I can help it. That's more a DSW store price. I'm a cheap-ass. But at least I'm a good looking cheap-ass.

I've got bad feet & ankles and getting expensive shoes is VERY important. Think of it as a medical expense 'cause the cost of getting shoes from K-Mart or Target would, most likely, be in the thousands. Fashion has nothing to do with my shoe purchases.

DSW? Ha. They didn't have anything even close to what I'm looking for.

Donna - these cost even more.

Trust me they are worth every penny. I can wear these all day with no issues. Even my $100. sneakers are not as good as these sandals.

FWIW, they are pretty true to size, I wear an 8.5 wide sneaker and these 8.5W fit perfectly.

At this point I am buying most of my shoes from Footsmart. The can be expensive, but they carry good quality products.

I wanted them NOW - and searched for places that sold birks in the area and got this place... except they didn't have any in the store.

It's hot & I don't want to wear hot sneaks! WAAAAA

I blame cheap ass shoes from Kmart/Target/Walmart for many of my foot issues. I wore crap sneakers and sandals for years and now I have all kinds of foot problems. I wish I could have afforded nice shoes like these in the past. Then I might not hurt when I walk.

I find any shoes I buy at DSW are crap for too much money. I need shoes with support and a decently cushioned sole. The stuff in the stores like DSW and Payless are cheap thin soled shoes with little to no proper support and usually have heels that are too shakey for me. Last pair I got at DSW lasted one wearing.
