My phone line isn't working. It's the only one in the whole house that worked. The rest died a while ago and I paid verizon to do work in my house because they claimed the line to the house was fine and it was my wiring. The one that works is behind a large piece of furniture, but there are two plugs coming out of it
One goes to the DSL and the other to the phone and the way the verizon guy split them I can use the phone one without a filter.
Anyway, sometime in the past few weeks, I stopped getting a dial tone on that line. Calling it gives a busy signal. (hmm. didn't know that before) It's not the phone. And I even tried the plug that goes into my DSL and got nothing. I either have one phone or none hooked up right now... Let's assume I have none. Is there anything that would cause a busy signal that isn't inside? But would still allow the DSL to work?
