Here is some "poetry" I did while listening to Vinny Golia trio-...in the right order... and Dewey Redman-The Struggle Continues
The titles of the poems are also the titles of the tracks.
V.A.R
The Rattle, ching.
Bump, swift
Into golden rod
Chimes into the morning.
The clap of day.
The wind of the afternoon
The threat & the gut;
Now we see the light.
The thread of the finger & the pluck.
Takamirama
The 16th daughter and the 16th son
Search for the view.
Seek and find.
The sky, the clouds, the altitude.
Green & brown: feet on it;
Looking upon it.
The squirrel knows, now.
Sand the cracks.
The steam…Flows.
Lost causes; round loses.
Walk to a place where tomorrow is certain.
The polished children look on…To look
At themselves.
Five in Front
It ends hear/here…
It ends there/their…
Knowing no one; knowing everyone.
Now they know,
Unless the pigs die first.
Before the Doorway
The door will always be dead.
No rug,
No carpet,
No wallpaper,
No frame,
No roof,
No ceiling,
No foundation,
No engraving,
No formula
Starting to leave the bench.
Walk the bench.
Lament
A distance, some barbed wire; join the game.
The warped time
Will seem fulfilling
Until all has given
The final shot.
The last grip; the
Last feel. May it
Be so common.
Hidden in the Leaves
Tumbling through,
Stepping on, leaving
The night.
The dawn rises…still
Tip, top…Tip…Top
Complexities
The trouble of me,
Trouble of you,
You’re in trouble,
I am in trouble. I am,
I am.
Turn the twist, twist
The leaf, let it
Go.
The voices rise; the
Ground is solid.
Voices, Belfey’s, Bass & Dreams
Points up and down.
Stare at the light.
A leap lost.
Sitting on the pavement,
Feeling a cool density. Top on the
Hill will provide
A loop. Streams of
Loops. Lines of
Loops.
Song of…
The peaceful may
Give; the sorrowful
Will take.
Thren
Then you, then me,
Then us, then we.
Thren.
Love Is
Gestures, invitations,
Solo, group,
Triumph, knowing.
A rose in bloom.
Turn Over Baby
Yes, Yes, Yes!
Do it Baby!
Everything you do is
Right.
You do Right!
You do Right!
Joie De Vivre
Sing a song in your
Virtue.
Time it. Time it
Well.
I’ll see you tomorrow
And we will hope for another time in the
Windy day.
Combinations
Too late; give in.
See here.
Shambles in the dark.
Scattering an ash into
The highway.
There, the red leads
To all paranormal
Activity, unlikely
Behavior. Too trapped
To understand.
Dewey Square
Good to know: You,
Me, everyone.
A good shout will
Let it all out.
Swirl on the line,
Such good time.
Lift your eyebrows
To see the dogma
of the world.
