Angry/Upset
It wasn't all that long ago that I had a talk with mum about how I really wanted to start working and earning my own money but that I wasn't well enough to cope with both college and a job. She told me not to worry, just to focus on my studies and think about careers when my health is better and when I've completed my courses.
But ever since then she's been showing me the recruitment pages in the newspapers and saying "this would be a good job for, wouldn't it". She even asked in 2 shops, including a supermarket if they had any jobs available for me when we went shopping together a couple of weeks ago. I don't get it! One day she's telling me not to worry about finding a job and the next she's shoving recruitment adds down my throat!
Today I got really upset over it because she bought one the local papers and called me over because she'd found an ad for a jewlers that were looking for people to do either part time or weekends, and even said that students were welcome. I got really excited because the idea really sounded fab. I cut out the ad and began to email the company when I spotted the words "GUILDFORD" in big bold letters. Guildford is about half an hours train journey for me, and would probably include a bus journey. Not to menton that Guildford highstreet is well know for its huge hills.
I ran back down to mum and told her the job was in Guildford, to which she replied that she had already known that. "It's only a short train journey away and either Dad or I will drive you to the station. You'll be fine."
Er, HELLO!! Did it not occur to her that all that travelling would wear me out before I even got to the job?!?!
*cries* Why don't they get it?
