I went to see the film today and, as a fan of the books, I can say it definitely met my expectations. :D
I was a little upset that they missed parts out.
They missed out:
-The "killing house" from the SAS training
- The quad bike chase
-The delivery at the dock with the submarine. Although in the film they did the same scene, just inside Sayle Enterprises.
- The bit in the mine (as well as the map that Ian Rider left behind) where Alex had to swim underwater. (I loved that bit in the book)
And they changed a couple of the character's names too.
I still have no clue why they put Sabina in it. She doesn't come into the picture until the third book (Skeleton Key) and she wasn't in Alex's school.
I though Damian Lewis played Yassen very well though. Even though I hadn't thought of Yassen as a redhead. ;-) And Bill Nighy played an excellent Alan Blunt! Lol!
Alex Pettyfer...what a cutie! *grins* I could stare at him all day. Lol! It's actually quite scary how much he looks like Anthony Horrowitz' description of Alex Rider. Hehe!
Did anyone else think that the actual Stormbreaker was a bit too large? From the description in the book I thought it looked like a regular computer. *shrugs* Never mind. ;-)
I'm absolutely shattered now cos I did a lot of walking to and from the train station. :(
I've had my cousin to worry about too. She gone and done something really stupid. Can't really talk about it but it's mad me so angry. *grumbles*
Anyways, I'm gonna get a glass of water and go to bed. I know I probably won't be asleep til 2am but what the heck. I'll...read or something.
Adios!
