Hey!

Went to the ball on friday and had a great time.  *grins*

I spent the whole morning getting myself ready. I had a shower, used my coconut body butter and french manicured my nails. I even put little gems on them.

Nana and Grandad showed up unexpectedly  *groans* at about 2pm whilst mum was driving Max over to my older brother's house in Reading. I made the fatal mistake of not noticing that both of them had lost weight. Grandad had apparently lost 18 pounds and Nan said she'd lost a stone. swear she's been losing and regaining that stone for my entire 15 years of life.  *laughs*

Anywas, at 3.30, Kerry arrived for me to do her hair. By this time I was a little tired after trying to keep the grandparents entertained. I actually burnt her head twice. Just as I was finishing Kerry's hair Mum arrived back and Sue turned up waiting her her hair and make-up to be done. Nan and Grandad kindly excused themselves and went over to see my Uncle and his family (who were also trying to get ready).  *rolls eyes*

Kerry left and Rachel arrived with her daughter Chloe. Mum did Sue's hair while I did Rachel's. Then, while Mum did Sue's make-up I went upstairs to do my own make-up, and Rachel did hers.

Finally at 6.30, my Uncle and his family came to pick us up and we arrived at Oakley Hall at 7.10.  *squeels*

For dinner I had sweet potato and pumpkin seed soup with chilli oil (starter), then a wild mushroom and asparagous risotto (mains) and for desert a vanilla panna-cotta witt roasted strawberries and dark chocolate sauce. *licks lips*

The theme of the ball was 'Jane Austin' so in-between each meal we had regencey dancers perform for us. It was quite weird watching men in tights skip around the dance floor.  *laughs*

I met a guy called Ray, who I had met previously as a salsa party. I was so excited to see him cos he was so nice to me before. Unfortunately no salsa music was played that night so we didn't get to show off what we could do.  *winks*

However I did get to dance with another guy called David. He was really sweet and funny.

My cousin and I spent most of the night with our friends; Sarah, Rashida, Kris, and Nile. Dad was cool enough to let me have a drink too so I opted for a malibu and coke.

The party was supposed to finish at 1am but the band were really good and everyone was shouting "more more more" Lol! So they stayed and it then finished at 2am. Of course it took close to 40mins to say good bye to everyone so by the time Sophia and I got into bed it was gone 3am.

I was sooooooo exhausted the next day (and a little grumpy too). We slobbed out on the sofa, ate junk food and watched loadsa films. My kinda day really.

Unfortunately I don't have any pictures for your guys. We filmed most of it but forgot to take photographs. *rolls eyes* I'll pinch some off of my Unlce and upload them later.

Ta ta!
