Now now children I would like to teach you 2 words today. There are childlike and childish. Yes, class. They do sound similar but are never parallels mind you. The only similarity is they are adjectives and both took reference from a certain age group (Namely infancy to youth). Here below is the proper definition of the 2 words.

Childlike- Function: adjective
: of, relating to, or resembling a child or childhood; especially : marked by innocence, trust, and ingenuousness

Childish- Function: adjective
1 : of, relating to, or befitting a child or childhood
2 a : marked by or suggestive of immaturity and lack of poise b : lacking complexity : SIMPLE c : deteriorated with age especially in mind : SENILE

It's perfectly fine to have certain childlike innocence as that just means ya look at the world with an unjaded mind. Free of bias. Less judgemental. Less stereotypical. You live life in awe and admiration for all around you. You treasure it and live it to the fullest.

However, if you are childish it will means that u lacks maturity! Imagine a kid sprawled on the floors of a supermarket crying out loud in order to get wad he desire. Yes throwing tantrums and seeking attention. Now look at it this way. It is fine to be childish if you belong to that age group. Ya can be easily forgiveable but if ya not. I have 2 words for ya. "GROW UP!" Learn to be a grown-up. Have responsibilities to ya actions. Throwing tantrums like a secondary school girl saying,"Ni bu pei wo. Wo bu gen ni hao le. Bu yao gen ni zuo peng you le!" doesn't help with people's impression of you in anyway. PERIOD!

I have to say I'm childlike but I'm not childish and there is a limit to the amount of childishness I can tolerate.
