Oooooookay. Seems like LJ is working again. *crosses things*

First of all, sorry for the huge text last post, got a tad overexcited. Then...

Semi-coherent blatherings about... well, mostly anime )

Oh, thanks. I'd heard her name a lot of times, but I'm really terrible with names, makes my future job as a regular teacher - am doing sort of remedial classes now and there aren't many pupils - full of the Terror of Misnaming People, my personal ogre.

Yeh, about Agito's past, but the very good thing about the series is that you don't really need to know exactly what gave him his bastardiness... er... his borderline personality, because it's implied in how he talks and acts, it's a very good use of subtext and I wish they had let go and used subtext that way a lot more. Not that it wasn't an utterly spiffy rant, as rants go, especially since it wasn't two hours long. Sometimes I wish people would shut up when they get the infodump and/or recap syndrome, it's DEAD BORING, besides astute readers/viewers have already got most of it.

Zoarordo (HA HA HA! I luuurve they Japanese pronunciation of foreign words, am quickly becoming weeaboo! WHEEE!)... well, I've seen Messers Guyot and Murakami in all their splendour up till now and they seem to be the usual overpowered baddies... ok oooookaaaay! Murakami isn't exactly a baddie, though I have it on good authority (*wink wink nudge nudge*) that he'll become one. This game of oneupmanship or, better, oneoverpowerupship is to me the most boring part about mecha/monsters/you get the drift stories. I don't care who wins or loses or who's stronger than whom in a fight - that's Bleach MOST BORING TO TEARS part, Kubo's lucky he's demented so he saves the tale by making me laugh a lot - I care about what people are feeling/thinking/doing in such extreme situations. I've prolly not seen - I HAVE to read the manga, y'know, I'm sure is much better than the anime - enough of them to form a coherent idea of them.

The scientists, whom I've just met, are DEARS! I mean, they seem to be nice rounded characters and exactly the kind of heroes - for a value of herosity - I like; those who fight overpowered alien-generated mishmashes with brains. I particularly applauded - yelled YES! actually - of their hiding place; that's what having a brain and using it does it for you, providing with useful solutions to problems. So, GO SCIENTISTS! With any luck, thy'll even have different personalities, who knows? Problem is, they're marginal right when I am, so I'll have to see if they are allowed to remain brainy astute people or they'll be forced to go mecha or hyperzoanoid or whatever in the future, which I fear by the way things are going.

You can spoil me, if you wish. *hint hint*

Now be honest, didn't you laugh a LOT when you saw peckerhead Sho? Also, you may not know this, acuz you've watched it dubbed, but our Agito yells 'Shoku Soku' or something like that that sounds like 'ShoSho' which has spawned tons of slashy plotbunnies in me demented slasher head. ^_-

I think what our Agito yells is Shokuso, which I've heard translated as bio-boost. Besides, I thought you were more into Ryan/Agito or Agito/Ryan. ;)

And, to be honest I was more into the whole 'exploring the alien ship' thing. I have to ask, though, what'd you think of Aptom as portrayed by them as opposed to by me?

Shokuso, right, only the way he yells it is odd, it should sound 'shockso' but he makes it sound 'Shosho', prolly a cry of the heart. Ans, yeh, 'bioboost' sounds right, though slightly deranged.

Agito/Ryan with a healthy dollop of BDSM, yeh. :-D But Agito/Sho is lots more romantic and "I'll die before confessing your gentleness melts me into a sighing puddle" side of Agito, but that's just slash, y'know? It's all the fault of the Peckerhead Guyver Sho's got.

Exploring the alien ship thingy is the most interesting and fascinating thing, actually. I hope what I saw in one of the eps was the alien ship having the heaves at contacting Guyot. I tend to imagine alien ship-thingies as being a lot like Yumichika, if it aint' beautiful I don't want to see it, BLEURGH.

Your Aptom is their Aptom, methinks, only a tad nicer which I approve of for entirely irrational and personal reasons like I have a soft spot for grunt psychopaths - videlicet my liking Kimblee, albeit in small doses - and am always sorry to see them go which I trust Aptom isn't going to. Go, I mean. By which I mean die. I'm tying meself in knots, amn't I?

*ahem*

Anyway, your Aptom seems to me to be entirely IC with added richness which I can't but approve of.

So, what do you think of the directions the story takes after the events the TV show depicted play out? How far have you gotten, anyway?
