Fic Search:
I'm looking for an amnesia fic that is either set post S1 or in S2. I don't think it's by hackthis (I've now scrolled/re-read all her fics looking for this ;-) or by sparrowette.
What I do recall is that Nathan and Peter walk out of the wilderness, injured, into a small city - which may or may not be in Canada. They remember that Peter exploded (at least I think they do) but not much else. Admitted by the local hospital, it's while they're patients that they theorize having been part of a government experiment - one of the reasons they decide to avoid any press attention and not investigate their backgrounds. Nathan's memory of the law is triggered in one of their discussions (Habeas Corpus is mentioned) and he is later taken on by the hospital in a legal capacity. Peter retrains as a counsellor.
Does this ring bells for anyone? Can anyone tell me who this fic is by? Or what it's called?
