this is a collaboration post between me and Dominique. it'll be in two posts, and is immediately followed by Indescribable. the events before this are as follows: SwiftShadow plans to go kill a bunch of humans, which is basically suicide on your own. Secoura reprimands her, and here we are.
SwiftShadow stopped, still, and even refused breathe at Secoura's send. She ducked, low to the ground, snarling, but keeping all noise in. Her blood red eyes stared, even as she skillfully backed away, into an old fox hole, making sure, this time, no sign of her was about. She was in haste...the trek of her own war that raged urged her so fast, she cared not for secretcy. She could see, she was stupid..and wouldn't do so again. She rested in the foxhole, deep under the bramble tree and polished her spears and blades with joy. **Go back? My hunt has just begun!** SwiftShadow grinned, throwing her send from all directions. ** I shan't be stopped! Not now! Not by you, or anyone!** She moved, deeper within the fox hole, until she located the back entrance...and smiled to her self. What ever fox lived here, was indeed a smart one. With a spear in either hand, she crawled quietly from the borrow and quickly went to the river near-by. **Following me is the worst you could have done, Secoura...If you dare to intervene me and my vast prey, I shall make you pay, ever so dearly!** She looked about the flowing water, until she found a log and swam to the side facing the direction of the stream, her hands clung to the bark, keep her aloft.
Secoura dove in the water and swam after SwiftShadow. **I do not care, SwiftShadow. Make me pay. You will have the biggest punishment- torture from the humans that capture you. You are being foolish, SwiftShadow,** she sent as she got out of the water and walked on the bank. Swift was no where to be seen. **Come out! Or are you too scared to fight me?** she sent loudly, with Stone growling beside her. He knew he could not help his chieftess-friend, but he would stay until the fight started. **Your bloodlust is driving you mad, SwiftShadow. Come out. Make me pay!**
That did it...the blood want and the challenge pushed the huntress to the edge, and she waited until she was far down stream, to climb from the water and took flight to the trees. She was quiet, not rustling a leaf, nor creaking a branch, even when her mouth watered in the sight of the chieftess below her. She licked her fangs, and dropped quickly. **LAME BEAST! I'LL KILL YOU!!** SwiftShadow's black send was enough to have knocked anyone to their knees. But she knew Secoura would have stood ground, even as her spear dug deep into her shoulder, and pinned her to the floor. With the force of the attack, SwiftShadow stood, her bloodied eyes glowing from the feel of hot blood upon her face. Swift was right.
Secoura held her ground at the black send, but she shattered as the spear went through her shoulder, luckily not in her sword arm. **You'll not kill me, weakling!** she black-sent, knocking SwiftShadow back. Secoura struggled to get her spear, and threw it in a desperate attempt. She had a good aim. It hit Swift in the thigh, and Secoura twisted it, then pulled it out with all her strength. The spear was bloody, and Secoura pulled out a dagger. It was curved and twisted. She pounced on SwiftShadow, placing the dagger at her throat, drawing blood slightly. **Who is going to kill who now?**
Hissing, Swiftshadow stilled, making no move. She glared at the chieftess and closed her eyes. **Forgive me chieftess...I..I did not think...** And, with the sneakyness of a snake, she managed to propell her legs, despite the raking pain in her thigh, up behind Secoura and fling her off. The movement tore the spear twisted wound, and she reached down, coating her fingers in the warm liquid, and grinned as she licked it off, savoring the metallic taste of it. Standing, making little show if the throbing in her thigh, SwiftShadow, threw down took her spear in one hand, one curved blade in the other and once again, charged her chieftess, the two rolling across the forest floor, growling, hitting, leaving blood trails in any various places. It wasn't until Swiftshadow stopped, when she realized she managed to trade yet another blow, her curved blade locked deep in Secoura's side. With a heated grin, with quickly twisted the dagger, and reveled in the hiss that came from it. **Tit for tat, Secoura!! How does it feel? The delightlful feel of your blood running from you...isn't it intoxicating!!!!** She laughed, the shadows flickering in her eyes as, deep inside her, something told her to finish the job, to get rid of the only thing standing in her way of her and her prey. She quickly fetched up a large rock and raised it, aiming for the Chieftess's head.
Secoura fell to the ground, her own knife in her side. She felt as if she was about to die. ::Yes SwiftShadow ...it is intoxicating. Yet it feels...horrid. I hope you feel it too!:: she wolf-sent, growling. She drew a set of small daggers and threw them at Swift. The first one missed, and SwiftShadow laughed at her. But the second one hit her under her ribs. Secoura stood up carefully, raised her fist, and punched SwiftShadow in the ribs, cracking some. Swift cringed in pain. ::I heard those ribs. You better lay off, now! You will not take me, or my tribe.::
With pride hurt as any Alpha wolf suddenly belittled to a mere scout, SwiftShadow snarled, quickly withdrawing the throw dagger and held her side. Panting, bleeding, filled with pain, SwiftShadow did the only thing she could possibly turn to to take her mind off of the pain. She grinned, soon after, laughed, and then took up her spear and thrust it against her chest, reattaining a smile at the glorious feel of pain. Her laugh seemed almost joyous. **Hear me, Secoura...I will not vanish, nor will I die...I have a score to settle elsewhere... ** With that, the fell to the side, entering the stream, and did not come up for air. Instead, she removed the bloodied spear from her chest and remained under, using the undertoe to thrust herself further down river, faster then a wolf could run. She knew where she was headed...to the human cub left in the forest, down stream, just a ways. She would get rid of him first, then take her bloodlust to the rest of the human tribes, all over the World of Two Moons if need be!
Secoura collapsed to the ground, her strength exhausted. *I must go get her...I must!* she thought, willing herself to stand. She tripped, but Stone caught her.
::Injured, take back to holt?:: he sent.
::Yes, hurry!:: Secoura sent as Stone ran like the wind to the holt. When she got there, Secoura took her old leathers in the den, and ripped them into long shreds. She wrapped them arouns her side, stopping the blood. The bandage stayed. Secoura walked out of her den, and the tribe looked at her strangely. Stone picked her up, and ran towards the human camp. Secoura and Stone caught up to SwiftShadow, making no sound. Secoura felt much better, she ate a plant that numbed wounds. ::Let me down, Stone,:: she sent as she dismounted. Stone lay down in the bushes, there was nothing he could do to stop her. Secoura suddenly saw SwiftShadow stalking the human cub. She took a chance. In the human speech, >Run human, run!< The human cub looked astonished, but when he saw SwiftShadow's angry face, he ran like fire on the ground.
SwiftShadow turned on her. **You dare follow me!?** she sent angrily.
But Secoura ignored her. She pounced on her back, and put her dagger at her throat once again, drawing it across the soft flesh of SwiftShadow's neck, slightly drawing blood. **You dare challenge me?**
**Challenge is nothing to me! I CRAVE FOR BLOOD!** She struggled, weakly at best. The river had helped in seepeing the blood away from her wounds, and the constant, non stop of her hunt had made her weak from blood loss. And, try as she might, SwiftShadow as useless, even when trying her hardest to buck Secoura off of her. Shivering, she growled, desperately, reaching out to the the running human, her mind screaming angerly at him. **GET BACK HERE!! I AM NOT FINISHED WITH YOU!!!!!** The more she struggled, the more SwiftShadow's vision began to dim.** Come back here...** Her body went limp, even as she still reached out, as if to grasp the now out of sight child. **You...blood..I...am in need..of..your...blood...** She passed out, the feeling of the an elf's spirit, wrenched from her cold, dead body, screaming in her mind, screaming at her, of her failure to avenge her.
Secoura looked at the fainted SwiftShadow. **You are finished with humans...for now.** she sent as she picked up the fainted elf and set her on Stone.
::No fight? Is good:: the wolf sent.
::No Stone, no more fighting...at least for now:: Secoura sent. She doubted the matter was over...
