... She hasn't always been crazy like this. She used to be cold, and calculating, and still evil, but in a completely different way. I don't know if we would have been able to beat her if this place hadn't done to her what it did.

The Fire Nation had been waging war on the rest of the world for over one hundred years. Azula, Zuko, and their father were the main threats to those of us on the Avatar's side. Zuko eventually switched sides, but Azula? Never.

Our world isn't that big, and the Fire Nation was strong. Too strong. Despite my personal opinions about Azula, she was... the most powerful opponent I'd ever faced. On and off the battlefield.
