Perhaps I should've mentioned earlier...

Sarah and I are getting married at the end of the month. As it turns out, Thanksgiving weekend is officially the worst time to get married, on account of the people who have to fly in from out of town and that being the shittiest weekend ever for flying. Go figure. But that's when we picked, so that's when we're getting married, and it should be a lovely time. Most of those flying in are coming well before the weekend and leaving well after. My employers were nice enough to give me the week off before the wedding. I thought that was fantastic of them.

Anyway that's who the "we" is. Are? Were. Whenever I say "we", I mean Sarah and I. We put in an offer on the house on Friday, and should supposedly have an answer by Wednesday. Then we'll have 17 days to have it inspected and decide if we really want it, and then holy crap we'll be homeowners. We're very excited, because we're looking at the lowest price we've seen in san diego for a 3-bedroom (never mind that the current occupants have put beds in two extra rooms) and it doesn't look as if there will be much to do to bring it up to our standard of living. Then again, we're already discussing scores of projects we'd like to work on once we actually move in, like knocking out walls and turning whole rooms into walk-through closets (yes, walk-through, not just walk-in). It all seems like a good idea, so far.
