Today a nationally known natural horsemanship trainer, Sonny Gargulio came to work with me and Chace, one of the barn moms one a certificate for a free session and gave it to me knowing that Chace can be a handful and that we'd used him successfully before.
Said session lasted about an hour, went well. He said to follow through with the kind of horse Chace is (open dictionary; see - Difficult <3) he'd want to do follow up sessions, one or two a week for at least a month.
I said, gee I'd like that but...I gotta look and check my time/money situation. Really meaning...Yo, I gotta check my money situation -.-;;
His normal sessions are 150$ an hour, he said working on a regular basis he'd do it for 65$. A lot cheaper, but twice a week for a month? hfajkshdfafd.
Same barn mom who gave me the free session thing told me...They'd take care of the sessions.
Consider me blown over.
I've had dreams of wealthy benefactors. You hear stories about poor people with talent who big CEOs find and buy them million dollar horses. And you think that's wonderful, but it doesn't happen.
But sometimes talent and good people skills and a little elbow grease IS enough.
I've been lucky enough to inherit Chace from Laura, lucky enough to get the deal that I do on board, and pretty damn fucking lucky @_@
