this is perfect timing you know. you and curtis both are coming for 9 days separated by 9 days. then hopefully phase three happens 9 days after you leave.. it's just too good ( ... )

if you have or can borrow a water pump [backpacking style, you know?] that'd be a lifesaver. i don't have one and we will most likely need one [although we *could* get by without].

have you been to blackrock and stagecoach hot springs?

we went to the hot springs last time. i don't have the pump, but alot of the other stuff is not a problem. and i have a feeling that trader joes wont deny us anything. somehow things always just pop up there when you need em. and i don't have a rain fly on its own, but mike has a tent that folds up pretty tiny from when hes gone camping. i can borrow that from him.

do you have any specific cities in mind??? the pacific is a very general destination....though i'm willing to let the city decide itself, depending on where our rides are headed.

i'm thinking a lot of things.

i'm thinking the trip to denver was a-mazing and that it would be really fun to perf-ect the trip and to get a little more out of it now that i can tell what's going down.

however, the ocean?!

the other thing i'm thinking is that it's all in the luck of the ride.

i have fallen in love with the road, and a few people, and not having a plan and just letting the days fall. anything goes.

we could go south, we could go to arizona, we could go back to denver, we could make it to california,... what do you think?

i was thinking, among other things, of arizona [though the only two cities i know are flagstaff and phoenix], the ocean, and wichita [PLUS, with us going east, imagine the sheer amusement of being in a super patriotic state like texas on the fourth.] but the ocean would be AMAZING. i'm really intrigued by the possibilities of running into celebrations on the holiday. plus, with the holiday, i'm betting lotsa people will be on the road trying to visit people. OOOOOOSUCHEXCITEMENT.

we definitely don't want to go hitchhiking through the conservative states ae: texas. i tried colorado springs, a very conservative city and was stuck one morning for 4.5 hours. i've learned my lesson.

besides knowing the highway we're going to take and a few cities along the way there is no way to plan what we're going to find when we get there. i have no doubt that it's going to be full of festivities, but i simply couldn't say.
