I had to go through about a month with out immediate access to the internet (due to staying at my grandmother's). It really cut into my Facebook addiction, and now I don't have the compulsive need to check it all the time--which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I'm currently residing at my parent's house in BC. Next stop: Korea. I had a few lovely send-offs from my friends, which included everything from delicious hot pot to a bittersweet goodbye at the airport. The latter was difficult; it was hard to keep my composure while crossing security.
I'm hopelessly addicted to The Wire. It is, hands down, the best show I've ever seen. Actually, I'll go one further: it's the best thing I've seen, period. It focuses on the drug trade in Baltimore, with each season revolving (more or less) around a wiretap. (This is just a dirty summary of what the show really touches base on.) I'm really sad that I only have eight more episodes to go before I'm done the series. It got to the point where I'd watch The Wire in six to seven hour blocks. And I'll talk anyone's ear off about it whenever I get the chance.
