They had left their spot in the garden, at some point, when the food had finished and they couldn't just lay down lazying in the sun.
Now they had reached the beach, and Lovino was holding his shoes in one hand, while the fingers of the other hand were laced with Antonio's. He felt strangely peaceful and relaxed, a bit tired, maybe, and for some reason having the other boy's hand held in his own didn't feel awkward nor weird, now.

The basket was swung over his shoulder carelessly, his shoes somewhere inside of it. Under that same arm, his guitar was carefully balanced. His free hand held Lovino's gently. Everything was perfect, and then the Spaniard had to go and open his mouth.
"How did you cope while I was gone? I know you must have missed me a lot," he said, beaming.
(( Let's just assume Toni went home for a while while I was gone? :3 ))

Lovino turned to Antonio, eyebrow raised.
"You know it. Good for you. And of course I didn't." he replied promptly, kicking some sand with his foot.
"I can fucking take care of myself and surely I'm not a brat like my stupid brother who can randomly start crying in the night if he doesn't have his potato-boy next to him." he growled.
"And anyway things were boring, just as always. And weird. I think some crap happened but nobody cares to explain, so whatever." he shrugged.

"I missed you," he said faintly, fingertips brushing Lovino's upper arm idly.

"I think so. I don't fucking know. It's not like I go and talk to people about what shit has been going on here." he actually didn't have many ties with the people there in the school, and most of the ties he had were born because he disliked someone.
"There was a security breach, and something must have happened."
He looked down as he felt Antonio's fingers on his skin, then turned his head again. Of course he had missed him too, he just wasn't going to say it out loud.
"Well, then don't go away again."
