Happy Belated Birthday to
Haro!!! I hope that you had a great birthday ^.^
I forgot to mention in my last post that I recently tried the new Starbuck's drink - the honey latte, and it's delicious! I never thought that honey would be so tasty in coffee, but it's really good.
Last night I had this weird dream that I was out with some friends downtown when the city was evacuated because of some huge lizard/monster/dinosaur that had started attacking the city. I think the monster came from the lake, because wherever it went, the various places flooded and it would rise up out of the water. My friends all left the city, but I stayed because for some reason, I had to fight the monster. It was me and this one other person who apparently I knew. First I stopped in at the library to look up some books about how to fight the monster (like they'd have those xD), though I think the library was attacked before I found any books. Next thing I knew, I was with the other person who was going to help me fight the monster, and we were getting free clothes at a department store. They were all warm clothes, so I guess wherever we were going to fight the monster was somewhere cold. The next part of the dream involved me being in a children's musical produced by a place I used to act with. I suddenly got sick and threw up and then called my mom to tell her I couldn't do the performance and I would be coming home. But then I changed my mind and did the performance anway. I played a snake in the performance and basically just slithered around on stage, and then at one point I fell asleep during the performance, on stage. It was weird. When I woke up I went and had some cake and I saw my mom and my brother and some random old woman who was serving slices of this one particular cake, but not the others. At the party after the performance, American Idol was on TV and Ryan was saying that they had a new stage - and - that they were now filming in New York. Next thing I knew, I was a contestant on American Idol and was sitting in a cheap looking theater with other contestants in the top 12 (not the same people actually in the top 12 this season though). It was some sort of bonding activity that wasn't being aired. Danny Noriega was there and we were friends. Ryan kept talking to us about his tattoos, and none of us really believed he had any, but apparently he did. The bonding activity was surfing in this indoor ocean with a wave machine that was all built onto the stage. I watched some of the contestants go first, and then it was my turn and I did a really pathetic job. After I finished I was all like, "I'm the worst surfer ever!" and then someone said to me, "no you aren't, look at the film!" So they showed me footage of my surf in which I flew out over the audience quite a ways - but that hadn't actually happened, or at least I didn't remember doing it. Then I woke up.
Tonight's actual episode of American Idol was good, though it for some reason did not feel like a Top 12 episode, but rather a top 16 or so episode. I'm not sure why. They did songs from the Lennon/McCartney song collection, which was cool. It's too bad that Paul McCartney didn't serve as a mentor though. Brooke did a really good job, and I thought that Syesha did a good job as well. I also liked the performances by Rameile and Jason quite a bit. Carly did a good job, but I felt it was an unfair advantage that she performaned a song that she said was something that she sang every week when performaning at the pub she works at, so I have mixed feeling about her performance. I think she should have gone with a song that she doesn't regularly perform, you know? But I like her. I also still like David Cook a lot, and I thought that he did a good job, though the verses seemed too fast, but the choruses were strong. I liked Kristy's performance too, but it wasn't her best. I kind of feel similarly about Amanda's performance. I'm looking forward to seeing what mentors will be coming up this season!
I saw this meme by both
automail_junkie and
crazedwolf and I thought it seemed interesting to do.
