A couple people on my friends list posted this in their journals, and I thought it looked like fun!

1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
Draco - I feel bad for him. I don't particularly like him, but he's an interesting character. I think that he has issues with his father. I think that he's smart, ambitious, clever, and a talented wizard, but he isn't actually as tough as he gives off the impression of being. I like that he isn't just a bully. He became a much more interesting character to me during book 6.
Ryouga - He's my favorite character from Ranma 1/2. He's a sweet guy, and so hopelessly devoted to Akane. He cracks me up as well. He's adorable.
Cid - As far as FFVII goes, I've only played the game. I haven't seen Advent Children or played the newer games yet. I like Cid. He's amusing in some aspects, but he's also got this underlying sadness with his story. He's a good guy. The song, "You Curse at Girls" by Fountains of Wayne reminds me of him.
2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Yes for all three of them.
3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
I don't relate to any of them. Maybe I relate a tiny bit to Ryouga, but not much. Though their stories do grip me emotionally.
4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
I'm not really a part of the FFVII fandom, or the Ranma 1/2 fandoms, so I can't comment on those. But I am a part of the HP fandom, and I like it. The fans are so dedicated, and I love that a whole genre of music came from the fandom.
5) Do you ship this character with any other character? Or, are you particularly intrigued by their relationship with any other character(s)? (romance-wise or platonic)
For Draco, I kind of ship him with Myrtle. I used to ship him with Pansy though. I'm intrigued by his (platonic) relationships with his parents, and with Snape (platonically as well).
I don't really ship Ryouga with anyone, although I'm sure I will ship him with Akari once I read that far in the manga. The relationship between Ryouga and Akane interests me though. But she belongs with Ranma.
As for Cid, I ship him with Shera.
6) Is there anything about the character you would change?
I can't really think of anything I'd change about them.
7) If you knew this character in real life, how do you see yourself interacting with him/her? (Would you get along well? Fall in love with? Dislike? Friendly rivalry? etc etc)
I'm not sure what I'd make of Draco if I knew him in real life. I have this inclination that we'd be in school together, and that I might think he was cute (though I'm not a Draco fangirl by any means).
I think that Ryouga and I would get along okay, but I don't think that we would be friends. I can't really see us striking up conversations for some reason. Shyness maybe? I'm pretty sure I'd have a crush on him though, as I used to have one on him anyway.
It's weird, I can't really picture myself interacting with Cid.
8) Does this character make the cut as one of your all time favorites (if you like) or least favorites?
Ryouga might.
9) Would you hype up this character (if you like) or warn about (if you dislike) to someone whose new to the fandom?
I wouldn't warn them against any of them, and I'd probably hype up Ryouga to someone new to Ranma 1/2.
10) Is this character popular with the fanbase?
I'd say yes for all three.
