Oh~bligatory year-end post post

Ah yes. A late post to remind myself I still have a blog~ Moving on...

Done with the learning institution (finally!) but have yet to pay for the fees incurred for the graduating stuff. At the very least, I know I'm done with school... for now. But of course, the learning won't stop. Graduated August, took a step back and re-evaluated my life and surprisingly, it wasn't completely THAT BAD. Definitely did not expect that. But that does not mean I'm looking at the brighter side of life. It was always there, neither bright or its counterpart.

Heard of this wonderful thing called SAP from friends during another friend's birthday, September. I wanted to have a job related to SAP. I still get to hold a computer, rack my brain for processes and program flow without coding. Perfect. Did shotgun apply to various jobs, minus the Call Center and here are the descriptions of the places I went to: First job interview was in Makati, vouched for by a friend. Exam was a necessary component and it had three parts: IQ, Academics, Logic and Reasoning. Must pass three. I passed IQ and Logic and Reasoning, failed Academics. Not meant for me. Next place was in Quirino Avenue, a ride away from the familiar North Avenue. It was in a secretive location, through this small passage leading to this warehouse. Inside was this house-like space where all the IT people were. Test was important but really ditched it because it was creepy. That, and I couldn't make their 'test' run with their really faulty, old, white-keyboard era computers. Third job interview was in Ortigas. Another Test. Brain stopped functioning, personality could care less, ditched it as well.

I surfed and became picky. Then I found SAP. No experience needed, just pass the interviews. I WANTED. And did the first interview. Found out future employers were acquainted with my former OJT boss in Ortigas. Last interview was with the other boss. No exam. Just personality and I'm guessing the person's willingness to learn~ hooray! Got hired November.

It isn't so much as the salary but what I take from it. Training alone cost more than 100k Php and we're paid to take the training. You learn something absolutely new. Not taught in school, even. What I also am thankful for are the people I'm with. Very interesting and honest-to-goodness, nice people. Currently back in the mountains for work. I like my work. Like my instructor (during the training) said, we have money, but very little social life. That works for me. More time in the office, less time at home. And I get to do what I wanted as a job.

No longer a number in the unemployed section. Goal for now is to keep promises and to earn. I have the potential to do both if I don't stray off course. If I continue being this way, I'll save up and be on track with life plans. And I want to attain what I can.

Aside from the job, I sold car to buy NINE- my desktop. Sold Blue as well as it is stuck in laptop comatose. I do have this work laptop and I am hoping that after implementation, they just give this up to the user.

Done with college. Working. Getting ready to set-up the path for my rest. Met up with a familiar face here in the mountains but I'm too busy to meet with anyone (literally).

Visited mom on my birthday. Lost very someone important and not being able to go and the reality of the situation is finally sinking in. But that's another story.

In need of rest now.
