SAD SAD SAD SAD DAY. NU107 is gone. The Home of New Rock is no more. WHY?! And oh, cruel fate, you've been reduced to the mind-numbing music station for the masses! As if we don't have a lot of that already! This is so, so, so wrong!!!
It was in the early 90's that I started listening to NU, I was in grade school then and wanted something different, something else other than pop and RnB that the station I listen to while going to school. Then I heard Pearl Jam~ then stayed to hear more.. then learned of NU.
So there. It was the start of new music. Then I got to the jazz station, then the not-so-cookie cutter stations as well... but I would always return to NU. Every morning when I was still in the mountains of Antipolo, driving my way down to the main house, I'd listen to NU... because it was 5am in the morning and a kick like NU would do my system good. Weekends would be reserved for NU because it was remote control weekend. Then they'd feature great new local bands that other stations would never give a chance in air time.
