The foreign boy, with his tousled brown locks, had politely introduced himself as Patrick.
Since then, neither host or guest were able to approach each other comfortably.
"Tessa?"
Her head snapped up to stare at the boy's confused face.
"Forgot a pen." He repeated.
"I know."
"Can I borrow? One."
"Yeah."
Slipping a pencil into his open palm, she spoke aloud unthinkingly.
"Do you want to get to know me?"
After a flash of surprise, a grin was drawn upon his face, "Yes."
"Me too."
