Ok... so... turns out that the whole "I'm dating a new guy" thing was pretty short-lived...
He's apparently still getting over some girl and though he says he really likes me, it wouldn't be fair and etc... I think I believe him; I went through the same thing with Grant after Matt & I broke up. No worries really, since we'd only been out like 3 times and I'm not one to think anywhere beyond that, but still.
I handled it great when he told me, I was so supportive and chill about it all (ah, the pride) though he was all awkward and sad and torn-up and etc. My only beef is that I wasted like a month's worth of flirting on an emotionally unnavailable guy! That and I probably wouldn't have let him get to third base if I'd known how it would end. So, ho hum pig's bum, I think I'll retire from men altogether. No sense wasting my energy.
Except at the huge party tomorrow, where I may need to make out with a random. But that's just business as usual.
