The Advent of the Augustine, and other matters

Although I miss London, I'm glad I'm here right now. Aj's coming home and Ambrose needs me, and I'm the only around here doing anything about it.

Ovid is out researching his "art" book all the time, Virgil will only want to ask Aj about Tunisia, Ben just keeps defining things, and Nicky can't stop thinking about world domination. And of course, Hardy and Clive are still in England. I am glad Mal came down, though.

He and I were playing in the park with some of the local kids - Knights and Ladies, Mal's favorite - and I just let myself get lost in the images of the banners and the horses and the swords and I felt the steel in my hands and smelled the blood of the saracens I had killed on crusade. It was as if I was flying. Rarely do I get those feelings outside of the Gardens or at least outside of England.

Although I fear I shall need to learn how to have them on foriegn soil soon, for while my heart still lies in England my body will be in America, and it is such a long way to fly. You see, a fairy brought me a message from my own family - they want me to consider taking up residence with Aj at Eupheme after the Easter holidays. Appearantly the gift of his parents was enough to ensure that I'll be able to recieve credit for the semester that I spent down here, since helping out in elementary schools doesn't count as an education to some people. If only they realized that there is more to be learned from a child of six than from all the PhDs in all the world.

Even if it is not the same, I shall go and listen to the birds sing in the square this evening and watch the children play. Aj can have his Angels, for I go now to dance with the fairies.
